Details of past and upcoming Dorset Coast Forum (DCF) meetings

Meetings

The Dorset Coast Forum meets twice a year, usually in spring and autumn. These meetings provide an opportunity to present, discuss and debate the topical local, national and international issues of broad interest to Dorset's coastal stakeholders. Topics included within the DCF's twice-yearly meetings are extremely diverse. Minutes and other details from previous meetings can be downloaded from the previous Dorset Coast Forum meetings page.

Dorset Coast Forum Autumn Meeting - future Challenges, changes and opportunities - 15 November 2011

The Autumn DCF Meeting was held at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, Dorset. The theme of this meeting was 'Future Challenges, Changes and Opportunities' and included presentations on:

  • What a reformed Common Fisheries Policy could deliver for Dorset fishermen and for the environment

  • Valuing the marine environment - introducing the UK National Ecosystems Assessment

  • National and local Marine and Beach litter projects

  • Marine Conservation Zones - Next Steps

  • The Living with a Changing Coast (LiCCo) Project

  • The Great Dorset Seafood Campaign
