Dorset Coast Strategy 2011

The Dorset Coast Strategy is a voluntary initiative promoted by the Dorset Coast Forum. It aims to achieve integrated management of the whole of Dorset's Coast and inshore waters out to the 12 nautical mile limit.

The philosophy behind the objectives and policies presented in the strategy are supported in the many management plans, spatial plans, action plans and policy documents relevant to the management of the Dorset coast and its sea.

Dorset Coast Strategy 2011 consultation response document

The Dorset Coast Forum (DCF) team and DCF Steering Group asked for views from DCF members and other stakeholders on the Dorset Coast Strategy 2011 - 2021 review. The consultation ran from 4 August 2011 until 30 September 2011. The responses were collated by the DCF Coordinator and put in a document for the DCF Steering Group to consider at a meeting on 17 October 2011. Notes and actions were taken at this meeting which provided agreement on the changes to be made in the Strategy. The DCF Coordinator, after this meeting also had separate meetings with individuals to look at alternative wording for some of the policies, where changes were sought. The Dorset Coast Strategy 2011 consultation response document (pdf, 185kb) (opens in a new window) details the consultation responses received and shows how they have been addressed.
