Dorset School Effectiveness Centre

Dorset School Effectiveness Centre is a training and meeting facility on the site of Bovington Middle School, only one mile from Wool railway station and with ample onsite parking.

The centre is available throughout the school year but not during school holidays.  It is open from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.  Accommodation consists of two meeting rooms, an IT Training Suite and a Professional Development Observation Centre.

Both meeting rooms can accommodate up to 30 delegates seated at tables or 50 seated conference-style.  Both rooms have interactive whiteboards, overhead projectors and DVD/Video players.

The IT Training Suite seats 20 delegates and one trainer at workstations or 15 delegates around a central table.  This room is also equipped with an interactive whiteboard and overhead projector.

The PDOC (Reading Recovery Room) is a newly converted training resource. Its primary purpose is as a centre for Reading Recovery teaching in training.  The suite of rooms are designed to enable professionals to observe practice via a large one-way viewing glass and sound system.  There is also an interactive white board and projector.  The larger of the rooms can be used a a meeting space for up to 12 people.  The second room can accommodate up to 6 people.  The rooms are ideal for training, interview and observation purposes. 

There is easy access to the Centre and plenty of available parking.
