Community funding from Dorset County Council
Information about the funding available for charities and community groups.
The first round of applications have now closed. The first grants of £7,500 will be awarded in mid-February.
Dorset County Council has committed £865,000 over the next two and a half years to a programme of grants for voluntary and community organisations and parish and town councils. The aim of the Dorset County Community Fund is to build the capacity of the voluntary and community sector and parish and town councils so they can deliver stronger services and support for local communities.
The fund will support new projects with a distinct start and finish date, a budget for the work, plus details of the project's specific outcomes. Groups based in Bournemouth and Poole can apply for funding, provided that the community which will benefit from the project is based in the shire county area of Dorset.
The fund is managed and administered by the Dorset Community Foundation, which holds more information, application guidelines and an application form.
