Farm Plastic Recycling Scheme
The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) will be organising two collection points for farm plastics recycling during May 2010 in Dorset.
The Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) is an independent organisation with charitable status helping farmers to comply with farm waste plastic regulations.
Collection points in Dorset
- Monday 24 May - Deverell Farm, Milborne St Andrew, Blandford Forum
- Wednesday 26 May - Three Gates Farm, Leigh, Sherborne

Booking a delivery time
All farmers should book a delivery time at the site they choose to deliver to by calling FWAG on 01823 355141.
Plastics should be delivered in separate bags and sorted by plastic type. For more information please see

Rates are charged at £150/tonne + VAT - Minimum charge £45
Procedure on the day
Vehicles are weighed in full on a weighbridge
Plastic is tipped and separated into 5 different plastic type piles
The bulk plastic (black wrap/clamp sheet) is then baled
Vehicles then weigh empty, paperwork completed, waste transfer notes and monies exchanged
Bales are stacked and await collection from an arctic lorry
