Reporting flytipping in Weymouth and Portland

You can now register a fly tipping complaint online.

Alternatively Contact us online about rubbish and/or recycling.

As a council we:

  • Aim to pick up any unsightly fly-tipping within 24 hours 7 days per week

  • Will investigate each and every reported incident of fly-tipping and we will pursue the guilty parties if there is sufficient evidence

The council removes over 50 tonnes of fly-tipped rubbish from the streets of Weymouth and Portland each year.

To help us we ask residents to report rubbish that has been dumped and also to report to us the vehicle registration number or address where you think it might have come from, as well as a description of any people you may have seen dumping rubbish when you call the rapid response number.

By working together we can win the war on fly-tipping and reap the benefits with a clean and tidy borough.

If you are not sure whether the land is publicly owned, you can still contact us and we will do our best to ensure the appropriate person or organisation is made aware of what they need to do.
