Food waste recycling scheme and bin bag collection changes for Sherborne area
We now collect food waste from households in Sherborne and surrounding villages.
Households in
Sherborne and surrounding villages (pdf, 4Mb) (opens in a new window)
have a kitchen caddy, kerbside food waste bin and instruction guide.
There are three simple steps to recycling your food waste:
- Line your kitchen caddy with compostable liners or newspaper
- Fill your caddy with food
- Empty the caddy into your kerbside food bin which will be emptied on the same day as your normal rubbish collection
Households taking part in the new food waste collection service are now required to put out only two normal sized bin bags for collection per household, per week.
A handy video guide is available to explain the new food waste recycling collection scheme.
