Statistics and census information
Over 600 pages of statistics on Dorset including population, education, employment, health, housing and the environment - now divided into data by topic and data by area. Everything from the detailed statistics to include in a business plan to fascinating facts.
Much of the data here relates to information published in versions of the Dorset Databook - a comprehensive compendium of key statistics on Dorset. The current version, the
Dorset Databook 2008 [3Mb] (opens in a new window) , published in June, 2008. We have not published a 2009 Databook but will publish a 2010 version in August.
Our data particularly relates to the county council area but if you require data on the adjacent areas in Bournemouth and Poole you may wish to use Bournemouth Borough Council Research and Information (opens in a new window) or Poole Borough Council Research and Information (opens in a new window)
