There is a great deal of information available about the Dorset coast. The Dorset Coast Forum is committed to making available as much relevant information as possible to coastal managers and the wider public.

The 2012 Olympic Games presented an opportunity to develop a maritime legacy that will benefit Dorset's coastal communities and the maritime sector long into the future. The DCF developed the C-SCOPE (combining sea and coastal planning in Europe) project to realise this potential.

Dorset BeachCare is a community and industry led project to reduce marine and beach litter and maintain and improve bathing water quality where most needed along the Dorset coast.

VALMER is a joint English-French project running between September 2012 - March 2015 aiming to test different methods of valuing the sea at six coastal sites in order to better inform and enhance future marine policies and management.
