Children's Services

Dorset County Council's Children's Services directorate provides support to meet the needs of children and young people in Dorset.

The Director for Children's Services is John Nash and the directorate is structured according to the Children's Services Structure Chart [15kb] [PDF] (opens in a new window).

The services that were provided by the old Education directorate and those services provided by the Social Care and Health directorate are now provided by one directorate for children and young people - Children's Services.

The aim is for every child, whatever the background or circumstances, to have the support they need to:

  • ... be healthy
  • ... stay safe
  • ... enjoy and achieve
  • ... make a positive contribution
  • ... achieve economic well-being

If you have any queries, please contact children's services.
