Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) Code of Practice on Racial Equality in Housing

New Commission for Equality and Human Rights
The Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR) replaced the Commission for Racial Equality, Disability Rights Commission and the Equal Opportunities Commission.
Banning age discrimination
On 29 June 2009 the Government Equalities Office published 'Equality Bill: Making it work – ending age discrimination in services and public functions'. The document outlines further proposals for a new legal ban on harmful age discrimination, to ensure older people do not face unfair treatment when buying goods or using services. Access to justice for people with mental health issues or a learning disability
On 3 August 2009 the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) published two public policy statements. These explain how the CPS will deal with cases involving victims and witnesses who have mental health issues or a learning disability, to ensure they have access to justice.
