Where does my recycling go?
Material collected for recycling is taken to one of our two recycling facilities where it is stored and bulked up before being transported to different factories and made into new products.

Why is waste a problem?
In Dorset we produce over 220,000 tonnes of household waste every year. That is about half a tonne, or half a car of household waste per person - the annual increase alone would cover a football pitch 3 feet deep.
