Park facilities

Avon Heath Visitor Centre

Avon Heath Country Park's facilities include a Heathland Discovery Centre, cafe, gift shop and barbecue hire.

Heathland Discovery Centre

The Heathland Discovery Centre is open daily between 11am and 4pm.   There are interactive displays and games providing information about the park, it's habitat and special wildlife.  The indoor viewing hide provides excellent views of the animals using the feeders in the wildlife area, including nuthatches, woodpeckers, rabbits and acrobatic squirrels.

There are regular treasure trails and events, permanent family activity trails, competitions for children as well as information about local places of interest. There is always a member of the ranger team at hand to provide further information or assistance.

While there is a bustling atmosphere of people around the Discovery Centre and children's play area, tranquillity lies only a couple of minutes walk across the glorious heath.
