The Ancient Technology Centre offers a range of opportunities for the general public: open days, public courses, storytelling and musical events.
Open Days
Saturday 11 September 2010 - Open Day in conjunction with Dorset Architectural Heritage Week - the Centre will be open from from 10am - 3pm. A chance to experience this magical centre with your family. Visit the various reconstructed buildings spanning a number of different eras (from Stone Age to the Vikings) all based on archaeological evidence, and our latest addition -the Gresham Street Water Lifting Device (formerly housed at the Museum of London). Entry is free of charge. Refreshments will be available.

Courses
Now that the monumental task of building the Longhouse is complete we will be resuming our programme of public courses in ancient crafts and skills. These will include blacksmithing, flint-knapping and bow-making. If you would like to be informed when the programme is arranged, please contact the centre.

Storytelling events in the Earthouse
The Earthouse at Cranborne is a magical venue for stories and music. You will be transported by some of the best storytellers and musicians in the land.
