Minerals and waste development scheme
The minerals and waste development scheme (MWDS) sets out Dorset County Council's (DCC) programme for the management of its minerals and waste development framework.
The MWDS makes a public statement setting out which minerals and waste development documents will be produced and the timetable for their preparation.
The MWDS has two main roles:
- It provides the first point of reference for local communities and stakeholders to find out about the council's timetable for the preparation of minerals and waste development documents over a three-year period and beyond
- To establish a commitment to county council's priorities and work programme for minerals and waste development documents in partnership with the Communities and Local Government and the Planning Inspectorate (PINS)
The
2010 - 2013 MWDS [224kb] (opens in a new window)replaces the previous development scheme, which covered the period 2007 - 2010.
The scheme will be kept under review to assess progress in meeting its key milestones and the need for additional documents. Any formal amendments to the scheme will be published on this site.
If you need more information on the proposed minerals and waste development scheme or wish to express an interest in participating in the consultation process please contact the Minerals and Waste Policy Team.
