Commercial waste and recycling

Information about how to recycle and dispose of commercial waste.

  • Commercial waste

Businesses pay separately for the removal of industrial or commercial waste and must be able to produce waste transfer notes to show that they have adequate arrangements in place to deal with their waste. Trade waste must not be put on the public highway for collection alongside domestic waste and cannot be accepted at Household Recycling Centres.

  • Recycling for business

There are many opportunities for businesses in Dorset to reduce and recycle their waste. This can often lead to cost savings when compared to traditional waste disposal routes.
