Information and advice on disability products - Greenwood Centre for Independent Living

If you need information and advice on disability products, national and local suppliers, organisations and services, we can help you find it.

In addition, there are computer facilities available for you to search our extensive information databases, either with or without help from our experienced and dedicated staff.

How we can help you

Our health and independence can be challenged at any time in our lives and may cause difficulties with our day-to-day activities and routines. We are here to work with you to identify practical solutions to these problems.

We can show you products that suit your individual needs and let you try them for yourself. Nothing is for sale and the advice you get is impartial and free. A wide range of products relating to the following are available for demonstration and assessment purposes:

  • Bathing and showering products
  • Armchairs and cushions
  • Wheelchairs and walking aids
  • Meal preparation, feeding and drinking products
  • Beds and associated products
  • Clothing and continence
  • Moving and handling products
  • Telecare products
