Dorset has a unique opportunity with all the sailing events for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games being hosted by Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. Work is already under way to prepare for 2012.
Preparing for 2012
The 'Dorset Working Group for the 2012 Games' has already been established and the following sub groups have been developed in order to concentrate on key issues:

- Transport
- Event management
- Communications
- Visitor management
- Community partnership
