The Dorset Max Card
Information about the Max Card and how and where you can use it.
What is it?
The Max Card entitles the holder plus one other person to free or discounted access or benefits at a range of leisure activities, venues and organisations across Dorset, Bournemouth, Poole and beyond.
Who can use one?
The card is available to:
- All Dorset (excluding Bournemouth and Poole) based young carers, children in care, some care leavers and to all children
- All children and young people who are disable and registered on The Xchange and living in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole
If you are the parent or carer of a child who is disabled and are not yet registered on the Xchange then you can join online at the

When and where can I use it?
Your Max Card lasts for the current year and cards expire on 31 December. Whilst it is valid, it can be used alone or with a friend/ carer to get free or reduced rate entry or various forms of discount at lots of places. These include museums, leisure centres, activity venues, shops and cafe's. The list of

Please do not lend, or let your child lend the card to anyone else - it is for child the card is registered to only.
How you can help
If there is a venue where you would like to use your Max Card but is not on the list, let us know and we will do our best to persuade them to join. Alternatively, you can tell the manager of the venue that you would like the venue to sign up and get them to contact us through The Xchange at Info@xchangeonline.co.uk
