Pre-application advice for North Dorset
From 1 April 2011, we are introducing charges for most planning advice. The fees will be payable before any advice is given and will apply to all requests for advice received after 31 March 2011. Free, informal advice will no longer be given over the telephone or to visitors to the Council's offices.
It is not the council's intention to charge for advice that is not related to site-specific proposals but is of a general policy nature. Neither will we charge for advice that is solely about our validation requirements. There are exceptions for listed buildings and trees and for advice to some organisations, such as parish councils.
If you wish to seek pre application advice please download and read the appropriate document, depending whether you are an agent or a householder. Please then complete the form at the end of either document or alternatively simply download and complete the stand alone Request Form.
Please forward a completed request form together with the appropriate Fee (see adjacent panel for viewing and downloading the Schedule of Charges) to development control, either by post or email.
Please note all charges are inclusive of VAT.
