Pay an on-street parking fine
If you have received a parking fine you need to pay it within the time the ticket specifies to avoid the increased charge.
There are two deadlines to which you can pay your parking fine. If payment is made within the shorter time specified on the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) or Excess Charge Notice (ECN), this will reduce your fine by half. After this time the maximum higher rate applies.
If you believe the PCN or ECN was issued incorrectly you should challenge it in writing so that we may consider your representation.
Please do not ignore parking tickets. Extra penalties may be incurred if they are not paid, or challenged in writing promptly. If you have lost your ticket, please telephone the council that issued the ticket immediately. Parking fine payments help fund the cost of providing the enforcement and parking service.
