The Dorset Professional Development Observation Centre
The Professional Development Observation Centre (PDOC) is a new training resource based at Bovington Middle School, Wareham, Dorset with easy access and ample parking.
Its primary purpose is as a training centre for Reading Recovery teachers.
Reading Recovery (opens in a new window)
is the foundation intervention for the Every Child a Reader programme, provided through a local authority consortium and implemented within Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole Schools.
The suite of rooms are designed to enable professionals to observe practice via a large one-way viewing glass and sound system. There is also an interactive whiteboard and projector. The larger of the rooms can be used as a meeting space for up to 12 people. The second room can accommodate up to six people.
The rooms are ideal for training, meetings, interview and observation purposes.
