Policy Scrutiny Committee
The Policy Scrutiny Committee deals with proposals coming forward in respect of the council's main policy framework. Initially it will be dealing with the Local Development Framework, however, its remit also includes the ability to review key plans and policy documents as well as reviewing policies at the request of the Executive Committee.
The committee establishes a work programme at the beginning of each Council year and carries out its work primarily through formal meetings.
