Procurement - Purbeck District Council contracts

A guide to selling to Purbeck District Council, and the council's register of contracts for supplies of goods, services and works, as well as current tendering opportunities.

Selling to the council

There are various opportunities that exist for doing business with Purbeck District Council, through selling, contracting or tendering.

The development of working relationships with suppliers and providers, either private or voluntary, is fundamental to our objective to strengthen our local community.

The purchase of goods and services is handled by individual sections within the council, with support from the central procurement function.

Other contract arrangements

Whilst the council deals with setting up many contracts by itself, it also uses other contract arrangements where this will make efficiency savings, including those set up either by a consortium, central government agencies (for example the Office of Government Commerce), or by other local authorities.

Contractual standing orders and financial regulations
