Purbeck Corporate Strategy 2011-2016

Purbeck District Council's Corporate Strategy for 2011-16 is a long-term plan, setting out the council's corporate priorities for delivering its vision for Purbeck. This strategy links the work of the District Council with the priorities identified with its partners.

This Corporate Strategy 2011 to 2016 (pdf, 148kb) (opens in a new window)   has been developed against current Government policy, leading to reductions in public expenditure.

The strategy contains five corporate priorities to address the issues that matter most to the district. The number of priorities is deliberately limited to focus attention over the five year period on the things which need changing in the district.

The priorities are:

1. Protecting and enhancing the natural environment

2. Meeting the housing needs of local people

3. Improving the local economy and infrastructure

4. Enhancing local communities and involvement

5. Being an efficient and effective council
