Waste reduction booklet
In order to assist residents to reduce their waste, the Dorset Waste Partnership has produced a free household waste reduction booklet.
The A5 size solution booklet carries detailed information on the waste issue and includes useful tips and advice on the following:
Reducing junk mail
Reducing food waste
Reusing things you might otherwise throw away
Contacting furniture reuse organisations
Obtaining modern reusable nappies
As well as providing information, the waste reduction booklet (pdf, 1Mb) (opens in a new window) offers direct, practical solutions for dealing with rubbish. For example, it contains a postcard (pdf, 36kb) (opens in a new window) which warns callers not to leave junk mail. It also includes a leaflet (pdf, 18kb) (opens in a new window) that can be sent to the Mailing Preference Service to reduce your unwanted addressed mail.
To request a booklet by post, send an email entitled 'Waste Reduction Booklet' with your name and address to the Dorset Waste Partnership. Please include your postcode.
