Sports Arena
100,000 people visited the Sports Arena on Weymouth beach. They enjoyed a range of free sports including sailing, kayaking, wheelchair basketball, cricket and volleyball.
Sports Arena
There was a visit from Mike Gatting, former England Cricket Captain and Charlotte Edwards the current England Women's Cricket Captain during the Olympics and Lord Coe during the Paralympics.
The site was incredibly popular with residents and visitors alike. By the end of the Games over 100,000 people had tried their hand at something new - that's enough people to fill the Olympic Stadium in London!
Taster sessions on the water proved very popular, with up to 800 people a day trying out canoeing, and 200 a day having a go at sailing.
