Health and Safety for schools

The county council has a proactive approach to safety and risk management to meet the needs of the organisation, including policy development, workplace audits and inspections, accident and incident investigation and the delivery of a full range of safety-related training.

• Offsite events and adventurous activities

  The Dorset 24-hour emergency phone number is 07623 544346. This is for use in serious emergencies only, where additional support is required from the county council by Dorset County Council schools, youth centres, etc.

  For many occupations driving is the most hazardous task performed, with over one third of all fatal driving collisions estimated to involve someone who was at work at the time.
