Schools textile recycling scheme
In Dorset, we throw away about 6,600 tonnes of textiles every year. To help the environment and prevent textiles that can be reused ending up in landfill, Dorset authorities are working with local company, TRC Limited to promote reuse and recycling in schools.

The 2012 Games are fast approaching, and to help encourage locals and competitors alike to recycle and do their bit during Games time, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and West Dorset District Council have teamed up with schools in the Chesil Education Partnership to produce a banner for their recycling vehicles to help spread the message.
