Statement of Community Involvement
The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how and when organisations and individuals can get involved in the preparation of planning documents for Purbeck and in the consideration of planning applications in Purbeck.
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted by the council on 25 April 2006.
2010 Addendum:
Please note that the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was produced prior to the publishing of the 2008 Planning Act, which included changes to the process of preparing planning documents. Therefore, the detailed stages and dates of the SCI have been superseded by the 2010 Local Development Scheme.
The next step
In autumn 2011 the council will commence work on updating the Statement of Community Involvement to reflect changes brought about by the shift in government policy towards neighbourhood planning.
