Walking routes of varying length around Purbeck's towns, countryside and coast. Something for everyone, with all routes linking to public transport to make your day out completely car free.

Short distance routes: 

Medium distance routes: 

  • Commoners' Ways - A circular route from Corfe Castle to Kingston. 5 ½ miles

  • Northport Greenway and Sika Trail - A circular route from Wareham Quay to the Forest. 6 ¼ miles

  • The Lawrence of Arabia Trail - A circular route from Bovington to Moreton. 6 ¾ miles in total but can be split into smaller sections 

  • Wareham Forest Way - Wareham to Sturminster Marshall via Morden. 13 miles in total one-way but can be split into smaller sections (6 or 7 mile sections)

  • The Purbeck Way - Wareham to the South West Coast Path via Corfe Castle. 15 ½ miles in total one-way but can be split into smaller sections (between 3 ¼ and 6 ¼ mile sections)

  • The Purbeck Way West Route - Wareham to Coombe Keynes, Winfrith Newburgh and West Lulworth. 15 ¾ miles in total one-way but can be split into smaller sections between villages (between 2 ½ and 6 ¾ mile sections)

Long distance routes:

  • South West Coast Path - 630 miles from Studland in Dorset to Minehead in Somerset (73 miles of which is in Dorset)
