Disabled parking (Blue Badge)

Disabled parking - Blue badge

The disabled parking scheme allows certain people to park on the street closer to their destination.

The scheme is for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers. It also applies to registered blind people and people with very severe upper limb disabilities who regularly drive a vehicle but cannot turn a steering wheel by hand.

We administer the scheme on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT) (opens in a new window).
