Update to the Draft Waste Plan and Draft Mineral Sites Plan

View the latest updates to the Draft Waste Plan and the Draft Mineral Sites Plan.

Consultation on the two emerging planning documents identified below will take place between 26 May to 21 July 2016.

The Draft Mineral Sites Plan Update 2016 (pdf, 1Mb) (opens in a new window) is primarily an update of information that was presented in the 2015 Draft Mineral Sites Plan, and includes aggregate production figures for 2014, amendments to the aggregates Area of Search, amendments to some of the preferred site options and a new site which was proposed during the 2015 consultation.

The Draft Waste Plan Update 2016 - Additional and Emerging Preferred Waste Site Allocations (pdf, 4Mb) (opens in a new window) contains six additional waste sites and following further assessment work, a series of sixteen sites that are emerging as preferred for allocation in the final Waste Plan to address the key waste management needs that have been identified.
